Clarissa Wicklund is a Counselor Intern at Next STEPS Worldwide and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. Clarissa has her Master’s degree in Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio and is currently earning hours towards her full licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. 

Clarissa has experience providing individual, family, and group therapy in homeless and battered women and children’s shelters and is interested in breaking down barriers and providing counseling to those who might not have easy access to mental health services. She has a goal of eventually becoming a yoga therapist, helping clients find both physical and mental wellness in their life. In therapy, Clarissa believes it is important to empower clients to achieve their own goals by providing a compassionate and supportive counseling experience.
