Enrollment Process

The Details Matter Because You Matter

From the very first phone call you make to Next STEPS Worldwide, our goal is for you to know how much you matter. We understand it can be very difficult to reach out for assistance. It takes courage, and we are here for you with open arms. Our clinical intake specialists dedicate themselves to listening and understanding your needs to put you on the right path from the very beginning, so you can have peace of mind at every juncture on the journey to better health.

What Should I Expect?

At Next STEPS Worldwide, we believe in best practices. We know evidence-based treatment goals are the only way clients can truly reach their full potential, and it all starts with a relationship. From our clinical intake, scheduling and billing specialists to our treatment team clinicians, we work together as a team to build relationships with each client every step of the way to ensure they receive the very best services. We do not offer an online scheduling system, because we want to connect with you.  Therefore, we require that every client has an initial intake call to start the process and to ensure they are scheduled with the best clinician for their very first appointment.

Initial Intake Call

The first step in your journey begins with an intake of information over the telephone. Please call 866-70-FAITH (866-703-2484) to get started.

When you call, our intake specialists will take the time necessary to listen and understand the reason for you reaching out for services.  We will also collect contact and demographic information, insurance information if applicable, and relevant clinical information. This includes any medical and psychiatric histories, any previous or current treatment histories, medications, family history, support systems, as well as any medical providers involved in your care. The more information you or your family member share during the intake process, the clearer the assessment of your needs will be. You should expect the call to last at least 15 minutes, and typically 25 minutes on average.  The details matter because you matter, so we invest the time from the very beginning to ensure we put you on the right path to success in achieving your goals.

Insurance Verification (if applicable)

After the initial intake call, our billing specialists will verify your insurance benefits to determine what financial responsibility you should expect for services and to request any prior authorizations that may be required all before your very first appointment.  Understanding insurance benefits and navigating insurance companies concerning your specific policy can be very difficult and extremely frustrating.  We are here to simplify this process and make it as seamless as possible for you.

Scheduling Your Initial Intake/Assessment

At NSWW we pride ourselves in scheduling our clients for their first appointment within 24-48 hours of their initial call.  Once your benefits have been verified, our clinical intake team will call you to schedule a clinical intake/assessment with one of our Next STEPS clinicians handpicked for your individualized needs. Our intake specialists will be able to review your benefits with you as well as answer any questions you may have.  Once your initial appointment has been scheduled, you will receive an email to your very own secure client portal where you will be able to complete all the required client paperwork prior to your appointment.  You will also receive a confirmation email providing the appointment details, estimated cost out of pocket based on your insurance plan (if applicable), as well as any instructions needed for your individualized intake/assessment.

Intake/Assessment (First Appointment)

We consider the initial clinical intake/assessment to be of paramount importance. We believe a thorough intake/assessment will provide a complete and accurate diagnosis which will positively impact the treatment plan allowing you to reach your goals in the most efficient time possible. You can expect the initial appointment to be between 1 to 2 hours, and sometimes longer for specialized evaluations.  This emphasis on a quality assessment from the initial meeting is something that differentiates Next STEPS from others. We believe in having all the date we need to inform the treatment plan and most appropriate level of care in order to ensure you are set up for success from the start.

Clinical Recommendations / Ongoing Treatment

Based on the results of the initial intake/assessment, recommendations will be made as to the appropriate treatment goals for you or your family member. After the data from the assessment has been conceptualized by the clinical team and recommendations have been made, our scheduling department will call you to discuss those as well as schedule you or your family member for services according to the recommendations.
